Eilidhs Cakes and Gems is actually just a me not an us. I have been a children’s nurse for 40 years as well as mother, grandmother, hobby baker and jewellery maker. It has been a long-time dream to bake great tasting and appealing cakes for others. I have always been the go to person for my friends and family when they needed cake. My son said to me years ago “Mum baking is your happy place”. So, on that thought early in 2021, I’ve turned my happy place into my workplace. My home kitchen bakery is registered with the local council and has passed inspection by them and I hold the necessary food hygiene certification. I have since become an Award winning cake artist at Cake International Birmingham.
