The Lion Restaurant Liverpool

Our restaurant specialises in both Japanese and Sri Lankan cuisine. It is a fusion of flavours from our life. The array of enchanting spices from the roots of Sri Lanka intertwined with the delicate art of Japanese cuisine, all available on our menu. From me and my wife’s time in Japan and our mother country’s cuisine. My brother-in-law and I began our journey of opening this restaurant during the pandemic, facing lots of hardships and delays due to restrictions. Of course now I can see that I do not regret the journey we have taken as a family to be able to create a community here at The Lion, where we offer exceptional customer service and even better food. Now, when I see what this restaurant has become, I see a place where people can come together and create memories and the idea that my food can help them do that… That is what reminds me why this business was started.
